I am a father, grandfather, husband and a Christian. At age 10, I knew that I wanted to be an engineer, and followed that path by graduating from the University of New Hampshire, ’63 with a BS Chemical Engineering.

I have gone on with further studies in that profession and taken numerous continuing education courses. My 37 years with the DuPont Company took me all over the world, and exposed me to many challenges which proved to be very rewarding. My primary focus was in the field of plastics, with much time spent with polymers such as nylon, acrylics, ethylene copolymers, acetals and others. I had assignments which included R&D, manufacturing, cost reduction, quality control, process safety, finance and sales and recycling. Polymer compounding is a specialty. After retirement in 2000, I continued to work in this field for a variety of clients covering all of those products and areas of responsibility on a part time basis, taking projects as they became available. My interests have broadened into the oil & gas industry, mining, green energy and biodegradable products areas.

My passion for all of the above remains, and has increased to include other areas of endeavor which include teaching in schools and universities, travel to investigate different cultures and languages, and to give seminars on entrepreneurship and Biblical topics. I am presently writing a book on how to create a business, evaluate it before making important decisions, start it and sustain it. The contents of this book have been shared with audiences 20 times around the globe. I love to consult with young people about their futures and help them plan ahead. I also enjoy tutoring in my favorite subjects: chemistry, fundamental mathematics and algebra.

Family, including my wife, three married children and eight grandchildren, all support what I do and provide encouragement. A close circle of friends also does the same. For all of them, I am deeply grateful.
